   I dont know if UK and American rap can be compared because the UK has its own distinctive sound, whereas other countries seem to have cloned the U.S sound ratherb than creating their own sound.However, I am open to other opinions on this.

   Every country and region has its own spin on basic hiphop. Ghanaian rap is totally different from Japanese rap which is totally different from German rap which is totally different from Australian rap — but they ALL are recognizable as hiphop. That’s the beauty of the genre. It’s both worldwide and local at the same time.

   hip hop is hip hop you can compare u.s. to rap from anywhere, hip hop originated in the states and has expanded into other places where its just changed a bit because of past music trends eg theres a lot of grime and speed garage rap that comes out of london coz a lot of ppl moved from these styles and mashed it up with hip hop

    There was an animated kids tv show called Bananaman back in the 80′s and early 90′s, the hero Bananaman was a kid who got superpowers from eating bananas. Maybe he’s referencing that?
